| Reed
DeHorsey has forgotten more about European automobiles than most people
will ever know. After a lifetime of tinkering with motors in boats and
cars, Reed set up shop on Aquidneck Island in 1983 and quickly earned
a reputation as the go-to guy for foreign cars among the many people who
drive them (especially older ones) around Newport, RI.
Reed's shop and his business have grown steadily over the years. The building at 360 West Main Road was originally built in the 30's to service Packards and Pierce-Arrows. Two years ago, he renovated the facility turning his original shop space into a showroom and expanding his shop into a multi-bay maintenance facility that had served as storage space. Now Reed and his staff have the room for multiple lifts and the diagnostic equpiment necessary to service late-model European automobiles. |
